The Postman

The man who delivers the letters and parcels to us is known as a postman. He wears a khaki dress. He is a very popular person in the rural area. Everyone knows him very well because he is familiar with all the people. He performs his duties very well and punctually. But he is a very ill-paid government service holder. He is an honest man. He leads a very honest, simple and punctual life. He delivers us sometimes good news and sometimes a bad news. If he does not deliver the newsletters to us in time we cannot know the news in proper time. In the city he does not mix with the mass people. He must be a faithful and honest man otherwise we will fall in trouble. He should be respected and honored for his noble deeds. The government should also take proper steps to upgrade the salary structure to upgrade his life style considering his hard work, honesty and punctuality.

My Favourite Subject

I am a student. There are many subjects in my class like Bengali, English, Mathematics, Computer science, Science and Geography etc.  Different students like different types of subjects. English is my favourite subject. I like this subject very much because English is the only language which is spoken all over the world. It is an International Language. In this modern civilization without this language nothing can be imagined. If anyone wants to get a good job or wants to do better in life he has to have the sound knowledge on this subject. Even if anyone wants to read any good professional subjects like Medical science, Engineering, Law or anything else more he also has to have the sound knowledge of the language. I would like to do better for the people of my country. I want to be a business man and want to have good relation with the foreign countries. So, for this reason, I have to communicate with the foreigners and have to have the high command on this language. In this case I like to complete my graduation to occupy strong knowledge in this subject. And then afterwards I will try my level best to fulfill my desires in life.

Winter Morning

Winter is one of the six seasons of Bangladesh. It comes after late-summer or Hemanta. As Bangladesh is a tropical country, winter is generally cool and mild here. It is the season of fog and mists. Dew drops also fall at night. In the winter morning the sky remains cloudless and blue. The rays of the sun become very serene in winter season. Children and old people bask in the sun in the morning and in the afternoon. The poor suffer from cold severely for the lack of hot clothes. In the winter season a great variety of fishes and vegetables are available in the market. Fruits are also cheap and prolific in this season. Students wake up late in the morning and go to school late. Many housewives make different types of delicious cakes. Though winter is a cold season, it is enjoyable in Bangladesh.

A Farmer

A farmer is a person who owns a farm and grows crops for his family and for the people of the country. As our country is an agricultural country the importance of a farmer is known to all. He may be of the middle class or rich class. But whatever he may be he is to lead a busy life. He spends his whole time in his works either at home or in the fields. Sometimes he needs labors to get help for his work.  The whole of the country look at his work whether he is growing good crops or not so that they can get the food in time he grows. Because, if he does not grow good crops the people are to live in food-crisis and are to buy food with the high price. The whole of the development depends on the proper the production of the crops. If the production of the of crops is bad, the country has to buy food from the foreign country with high rate. So the government should take proper step to help the farmers in all to grow good crops to remove the food crisis from the country in the time of crops season. Moreover, the government should give the right price of the crops to the farmers so that they become inspired also to grow more and more good crops.

Slum dwellers

The word ‘slum’ means the residential area where the poor and needy people live in or outside of the city. It is generally located beside the city area. The people who live in this area are called the slum dwellers. Who are these people? They have not come from the sky. They are our kith and kin. Most of them are labors, workers, rickshaw pullers and the general people who cannot live in the aristocratic society. The life style of these people is not of the standard. They live by hand to mouth. They pass a simple and an honest life but not like the people of the high society. Some people who have lost their homes and have come from the villages to the city to earn money live here in the slum. They pass a very miserable life and their conditions are also very miserable. These people live in a very dirty atmosphere. They can’t eat proper and nutritious food and so most of them are of ill-health. They are seen in our land as elsewhere in the world. But in spite of their bad conditions many famous, noble and respected people have come up from this society. We should not ignore them because of their low livelihood. We should remember that because of their help and co-operation our lives are filled with joy and happiness and we can live happily. We should also help these people to lead their moderate and smooth life.
