A Sun Set Scene

Sunset marks the end of the day. It gives us the most enjoyable sight. As the sun goes down the treetops on the distant horizon are all red with the rays of the setting of the sun. The sun gradually sinks down. It now looks like a plate of gold. The floating patches of cloud along the sky look pink and gold. The red-colored flash of the sun falls on the surface of the river and the water takes a golden hue. Then the sun seems to sink below the horizon. Darkness begins to come down over the whole earth. Then the cowboy drives his cattle home. The birds return to their nests. Soon everything melts into the deep darkness of the night.

Truthfulness

Truthfulness means speaking the truth habitually. It is the greatest of all human virtues. In fact, it is of great importance in our everyday life.  A truthful man wins the love and respect of all. By telling a lie, one can become successful on one or two occasions but ultimately it becomes known to everybody of the fact. When he is exposed, everybody recognizes him as a liar. A liar is never trusted or respected by anybody. He loses the confidence of even those for whom he tells a lie.  A truthful man does not fear anybody and has a clear conscience.  Parents should always encourage their children to speak the truth and they must be careful of forming the habit of speaking the truth in their children. As truthfulness is a highly valued quality in a man, we should cultivate it from childhood. 

 

My Hobby

A hobby is an interesting occupation. It is one’s main business. A man takes it to keep himself occupied during his leisure. I am a student and my main business is to study.  I am mindful of my studies. Everybody has a hobby. So, I have also a hobby. My hobby is gardening.  I have a small lawn in front of our house and I have laid out my flower garden there. I am very careful of my garden. I water my garden regularly.  It has a variety of seasonal flowers, grown some for their colors and some for their sweet smell. It is said that a beautiful flower is the loveliest creation of God.  I tend the flower plants and nurse the flowers.  When the tender flower plants blossom forth, I become overwhelmed.  My hobby is helpful in various ways. I give flowers from my garden to my friends and well-wishers on their birthday occasions.  It refreshes my mind and makes me forgetful of my worries and anxieties. I am very proud of having such a beautiful garden.

 

Discipline

Discipline means obedience to some rules. Man cannot do whatever he likes to do in society. If everybody does what he pleases, there would be disorder and chaos in society. Without discipline, lawlessness prevails. No society, organization, institution, or even family can exist without discipline. Discipline implies liberty but not license. The most civilized and prosperous nations are the most disciplined people in the world.  Everything in nature discipline prevails completely. Education without discipline is no education. Discipline is best taught in childhood at home and in educational institutions. Discipline is best played in the playground as well as on the battlefield. Discipline in life is something like a touchstone without which no progress and prosperity can be achieved. We should bear in mind the value of discipline in every walk of life.

Your Parents

Parents are the source of life on earth. We have seen the light of the world through them. They are our best friends, best guides, greatest philosophers, and well-wishers. We are brought up with their loving care and affection. They sacrifice their comforts for the sake of us. Therefore, I love and respect my parents, more than anyone else on the earth.  My father is a teacher. He is a man of excellent habits and discipline. He takes care of us. He wants us to be highly educated. My mother does all household works with her own hands. There is a maidservant to help her. She looks after us and cooks fine recipes for us. She takes care of us and properly dresses me up when I come to school.  My parents maintain a good relationship with our relatives and neighbors. They always think of our welfare. I am indeed grateful to Allah for blessing my life with such parents.

Self-reliance

Self-reliance means to depend on one self. Self-reliant man never depends on others. He thinks that self help is the best help. It is a great virtue of a man. Allah helps those who help themselves. A self reliant man has enough confidence on his works. He never looks for other's helps. He can face any type of difficulty and problem in his life. He succeeds at every step of his life. Self-reliance makes his confident level very high. A nation without self-reliance cannot prosper. One should not depend on other's help. It is a very dangerous disease that causes terrific problem in any body’s personal life. If a country depends on other country's or others' aid or loan, it is down upon. Similarly, everybody pities on the man who depends on others. All the great men depended on their abilities to succeed in their lives. So, we should also depend on ourselves and be self-reliant so that we can build a happy and prosperous life and can succeed in every step of our lives.
