The
celebration of Bengali New Year is also known as” Nababarsha” and “Pohela Baishakh”.
The word “Naba” means “New” and the word “Barsha” means “Year”. Thus,
“Nababarsha” means “New Year” in Bengali language. It is a part and parcel
of culture. It is the first day of Bengali New Year, in the Bengali Calendar.
Our people observe this day with great festivities. The Baishakhi Mela which is
celebrated is perhaps the largest festival of Bengali culture. People from all
walks of life join this festival in joyous mood. Urban people try to keep a while
away from their blind mimicry of western culture and tend to be a Bengali at
least this day. In the village people
pass the day meeting one another, giving and receiving invitations, enjoying
music etc. by local performers and doing many other festive deeds. Business men
open new books of account this very day which is known as Halkhata. Thus Bengali
New Year comes with great festivity.

My dear
Father,
I
received your letter and money yesterday. I am happy to know that you are all
well. In the letter, you wanted to know about my preparation for my upcoming M.T.
Examination.
You
will be glad to know that my preparation for the examination is better than before.
You know that I am weak in English and Math. But now, I have overcome this
problem because I have joined in a coaching center for better preparation.
Moreover, I have already completed all the syllabus of all subjects.
So,
I can assure you that I’ll cut a better figure in the upcoming examination.
Don’t
worry for me, father. I have no problem here living in the hostel. With regards
to you and mother.
Yours
affectionately

My Dear Samia,
Thank you for accepting my
invitation and attending in my birthday party last night. I hope that you
enjoyed the party and had a good time with my friends and family members.
I am writing this letter to thank
you for the beautiful gift you gave me. I have become very delighted by
getting the book of my favorite writer. You know I already wanted to buy
this book. I had had a lot of gifts on that day. But your gift is the
loveliest one. I think that your gift is not just a gift; rather it is a symbol
of your love for me.
I thank you once again for the nice
present on my birthday. Please convey my best regards to your parents.
Your Loving Friend

When life is stuck
Life
is very strange and it is really very hard to understand. People are peculiar
around us and harder to recognize them. When tough time comes it never comes
giving us any precaution. Some people feel enjoyment seeing others' distress.
At that time those who help us and stay beside us are the best friends and well
wishers. We should always remember them.
Life is never stuck; nobody can hold the wheel of life and the progress of it.
We should have patience at that moment. To overcome the situation is the duty of
the brave person. We should not be frightened by falling in trouble. Rather we
should find the way to get out of it.
Fear can't help us rather it tries to fell us in the toughest situation.
We should keep faith in ourselves and think that maybe the better moment is
waiting for us. Hard time and good time are both opposite of each other. Hard
time never stays long though it apparently seems to be so to us. So we should
have patience and be smiling and cheerful at every moment of our lives in spite
of being in hard time. We should go ahead smoothly discarding and avoiding the
bad thoughts grown in us.
